Prof Ulrike Schmidt is Professor of Eating Disorders and Head of the Department of Psychological Medicine at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN). Professor Schmidt’s research has been highly influential and has shaped clinical practice. She has developed the multi-award winning FREED early intervention programme for eating disorders and MANTRA an outpatient therapy recomended first-line by NICE for patients with eating disorders. In 2018 she was also awarded an NHS 70th women's leadership award. In this episode we ask her about:
