We've experiencing something we haven't experienced in over 100 years. Dealing with self isolation doesn't have to feel like a punishment. In Buddhism a time like this is referred to as retreat. A time to go within, a time to watch the mind and a time to strengthen your meditation practice. Retreat comes from the latin verb "to pull back". It's a great time to get inspired, connect with the self & listen to what your inner world is saying.
I've come to love retreats. Attending both silent & non silent ones. They have given me time to rest, reflect & hear whatever it is I need to hear. We can look at this time as a grim time of isolation or a time that has been gifted to us to retreat. The choice is always ours.
