Target Audience

Statement of Need 

This podcast reviews recent advances in osteoporosis care, including updated screening recommendations, risk-based diagnosis beyond BMD, and the expanding role of anabolic therapies for patients at highest fracture risk. Experts discuss goal-directed, individualized treatment strategies to improve long-term bone health and fracture prevention.

 

Objectives 

1.     Outline current guidelines for osteoporosis screening, including the role of fracture risk assessment.

2.     Review prevention strategies and risk factors for osteoporosis.

3.     Discuss risk-appropriate osteoporosis treatment plans.
