Julia Chabot, MDCM, FRCPC, MSc, is a geriatrician at St. Mary's Hospital Center, an associate professor in the Department of Medicine at McGill University, and the President of the Association for Geriatricians in the province of Quebec. During her master's degree in psychology at the University of Montreal, she completed a study on the effects of music on the health of hospitalized geriatric patients.

During this episode of McGill Cares, Dr. Chabot will discuss the potential benefits of using music as a therapeutic tool for people living with dementia. She will also explore practical approaches for integrating music into clinical care settings and recommend ways for caregivers to introduce music at home to support daily routines and foster emotional connections.
