At Maranatha we are a Baptist church with a heart for making a difference in Mattoon, IL and the surrounding area. 
The word ”Maranatha” comes from an ancient language, and it means ”OUR LORD IS COMING”.  Everything we do is centered around that very fact.

But it doesn’t stop there. We believe that church isn’t just a ”participation optional” event. God has commanded us to IMPACT the CULTURE by gaining ground for His Kingdom daily.
