The concept of seed time and harvest has been distorted in modern Christianity to focus primarily on financial giving and prosperity. However, the true biblical principle refers to God's establishment of natural cycles after Noah's flood, not financial formulas. The real spiritual seed is God's Word itself, which when planted in our hearts and revealed by the Holy Spirit, brings transformation and growth. First Peter 1:23 identifies this incorruptible seed as the Word of God that lives and abides forever. True prosperity flows from relationship with the Holy Spirit rather than following giving formulas.
