The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a distinct experience from salvation that every believer should seek. While we receive the Holy Spirit at salvation, Jesus commanded His already born-again disciples to wait for the baptism with the Spirit, showing these are separate experiences. The primary evidence of Spirit baptism is revelation knowledge - supernatural insight into God's Word and ways. This isn't a one-time event but requires continuous filling through daily relationship with the Holy Spirit. Developing this relationship requires turning off distractions, creating quiet time, and yielding to His leading.
