Let’s be honest, like 100% real..Parenting is hard, like really fricking hard!That’s why we’re so addicted to “hacks”, “tips” and “guides” from those who seem to have it figured out.Anything that can make it easier or make us better, “where do I sign up?”, right..??So, here’s how getting healthy makes you a better parent.Leading & Demonstrating: when we embark on a fitness or health endeavor, we begin to make some changes.. I think it’s safe to say these changes are for the better, as we can all agree getting healthy is a good thing.. so these tend to be positive changes by nature.Well.. our kids see us making these changes, and I’d assume we all want our kids to adopt a healthy lifestyle, so leading by example is a great parenting approach!!This leads into the next reason,Being “Optimized”:We want our kids to be at their best, to thrive and become optimized. We also want the same for ourself! How much more enjoyable are our interactions when we feel our best?When we’re energized and feel great..This helps us to be at our best, when we feel our best. And taking care of ourselves, getting in shape, helps us to be better parents.Finally,“Teachability” and lessons:There’s so much carryover from what we learn in our fitness and nutrition pursuits, from learning consistency to commitment.
