"What is a man supposed to become?"

Whether or not Solomon's Temple explains the historical origin of Freemasonry, its symbolic importance to the Craft is undeniable.

Field Notes

The Temple theory may be difficult to prove as literal history.

That does not diminish its importance.

Historical origin and symbolic purpose answer two different questions.

The Temple may not tell us where Freemasonry began.

It may instead tell us what Freemasonry is trying to build.

Study both.
