Mary was born into the roaring 20’s just after world war I to Jacob Beetam Martin and Minnie Mae Smith. She was the middle child between older siblings Paul and Luella and younger Martha and David H of David H Martin fame.

When she was only 6 months old they moved off the farm and Jacob started his tin shop and roofing business. She remembers it being a wonderful place to grow up with a stream running through the back for swimming, catching minnows and fishing at the local spring something she loved to do as long as I’ve known her.
