God is concerned with the suffering of the world. Drawing on the image of the Passover Lamb, John's gospel presents Jesus as God's decisive action of love by becoming the new Passover Lamb who not only takes the sins of the world, but also, is victorious over the Powers of Sin, Death, and Evil.John
