Just 15 yrs old Juanita Estrada Brown began being love bombed into a churchby the name of ‘The Door’ Christian Fellowship Church in San Antonio, Tx. The year was 1987. But what Juanita didn’t know was this “church” had been in the media for its cult attributes. It wouldn’t be until years after she left that she would realize it had in fact been a real cult. What started as a knock at the door. A prayer. Invites for ice cream. Would eventually lead to encouragement to become a teen bride. Juanita began to feel something was not right. While other teen girls around her were married off. Juanita chose to graduate high school and go to college instead. A decision that perhaps helped her eventually leave that environment in 1995.
