Girls on the Run has a vision of creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential.

Aiesha Edwards is the Executive Director of Girls on the Run of the Triangle in North Carolina, serving Durham, Wake, Orange, Chatham and Johnston counties. She brings approximately 15 years of professional experience with over 10-years of nonprofit management and governance experience into her role at GOTR. Aiesha has successfully developed and implemented new programs, created sustainable fund development campaigns and cultivated strategic relationships, but most of all, she has intense personal and professional dedication to serving children and their families. Aiesha strives to impact the lives of the communities she serves.

In this episode we talk to Aiesha about the Girls on the Run program and how she has seen it affect the communities she serves as well as her own life. We also talk about her passion for inclusive spaces to empower girls of all abilities where healthy living is a norm.
