(Part 2) After combing through several sources such as the World Health Organization, National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, WebMd, US Food and Drug Administration, CDC, to name a few…we have compiled a list of the top health concerns affecting women. Today we will hear our expert panelists discuss the top women’s health issues based on the perspective of their profession.

Our compiled list after looking at numerous resources includes:

  • Cancer
  • Heart Disease
  • Maternal Health
  • Reproductive Health (including STD/STI, HIV, UTI)
  • Mental Health (depression, suicide)

The fourth HER Health Collective Roundtable of 2022 featured the following HER Expert panelists:

  • Dr. Charryse Johnson – experienced Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor offering over 20 years of experience serving as a counselor, consultant, and educator. She holds a PhD in Counseling Psychology, NCC 2021.
  • Nicole Wallace - a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years experience helping adults and children with overcoming trauma, managing life transitions, and developing coping skills.
  • Christy Maloney – Registered Dietitian and Certified Eating Disorders Registered Dietitian – Supervisor, CEDS-S specializing in helping those with eating disorders and disordered eating from her practice, Enhance Nutrition Associates.
  • Dr. Holly Durney - Dr. Holly Durney PT, OCS Dr. Durney is an APTA Orthopedic Certified Specialist and has pelvic floor rehabilitation training from the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation
  • Maris Feeley - Full-Spectrum Doula, Childbirth Educator, Co-Owner and Director of Carolina Birth & Wellness
  • Kerry Lett -MPH, RDN, LDN is a Registered Dietitian with a Master’s degree in Public Health who is passionate about helping women who are trying to conceive, pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum and children to help manage medical conditions, tackle picky eating, and establish a good family relationship with food.
