Nick and Foxx are back for their second episode this week as they get away from the major blockbuster releases and to a film like Last Night in Soho. This film is from Director Edgar Wright and features an aspiring fashion designer that is mysteriously able to enter the 1960s where she encounters a dazzling wannabe singer. But the glamour is not all it appears to be and the dreams of the past start to crack and splinter into something darker. Wright uses all of his tricks, creating great lighting, tone setting and smooth transitions between Thomasin McKenzie and Anya-Taylor Joy. Giving off who-done-it vibes, this film does feature a few red herrings that you can see through, but does have a satisfying ending. It can be a slow burn at times, but overall this movie is worth checking out.
