Nick and Foxx are back reviewing the latest SonyVerse film in Venom: Let There Be Carnage. This sequel to the promising Venom origin story features another strong performance from Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom with a more imposing villain in Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kassidy/Carnage. This foundation would lead you to believe that the duo would be a lock to make this a good movie, but that isn't always the case. The short runtime, while trying to make for a clear and concise storyline, does not allow time for character development leading all the performances to fall short, to no fault of the actors. A forced storyline involving Naomie Harris' Shriek is nothing more than a distraction and they do not do a good job explaining the backstory and explaining why things are happening.
