Welcome home! As Abel and Elita go through the anxious stage of junior year in Canada (while crying about the second lockdown), they laugh their way into their existential crisis and note down the list of reasons why they came to create this podcast.
Who are they? What will they even talk about?
Abel is a fellow immigrant whose roots stem from Ethiopia and he loves introducing himself by his full complete name. As for Elita, who is originally from Cambodia, she is an international student whose superpower is roasting people on the spot. Combined together, their mitochondria cell of powerhouse talks of immigrant-related (and high school) issues that are always kept hush-hush in their communities, such as racist humour, complexities of religion and culture, the toxicity of online performative activists, gender identity and sexuality, law enforcement in schools, the obligations of children in an immigrant household and so on. Will they be loud about all of these topics? Hell yes, that's why their podcast name is exactly that.
