H.R. MARTIN PHILLS
H. R. MARTIN PHILLS B.Sc. OFC, TT, RHEP-TFL, graduated from the University of Toronto in 1989 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Genetics and Biology. He is a certified member of the Ontario Fitness Council, a member of IDEA, Supervisor of Group Fitness programming and currently a program advisor at the University of Toronto's Hart House and has been active in the fitness industry for over 30 years. As the owner of Toronto Fitness Associates, Martin has been connecting highly qualified fitness training professionals with individuals and small corporate clients and condominium boards since 1992. Martin’s resistance training programs were conceived with the intention of providing the beginner with a broad-based, easy to follow methods of acquiring a strong grounding in the basics of weight training and providing intermediate to advanced exercisers with the ability to exceed their expectations. Martin was certified in the internationally recognized CIR1 (Certified Instructor Reformer Level 1) program at STOTT Pilates and has been delivering Pilates Reformer programming since September 2016. Martin’s Pilates mat work experience goes back 25 years having studied various methods by Romana Kryzanowska, Ron Fletcher and Stott Pilates.
