On the show this time, it’s the inclusionary joy of London’s Ibibio Sound Machine. Their latest album, ‘Electricity,’ is available on Merge Records. This 8-member multicultural band put out their latest album ‘Electricity’ in March of 2022. Blending elements of West African funk and electro-post-punk, it was produced by saxophonist Max Grunhard in collaboration with Hot Chip. The record highlights singer Eno Williams' adamant vocals, and expands the band's sound - it’s all bangers, ready for the club. This performance features the first 4 songs from the album, though in a different order. Recorded 09/29/2022.

Electricity

17 - 18 - 19

Protection from Evil

All That You Want

Watch the full Live on KEXP session on YouTubeSupport the show: https://www.kexp.org/donateSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
