It is one of the biggest tricks of the enemy to tell you lies that things were not that bad which causes your subconscious to reminisce. In addition, the enemy plants thoughts in your subconscious that causes you to make assumptions about things that could happen down the road.  God didn't intend for you to have everything figured out but just move forward and trust his ways.
