Today I have been thinking about fire... all of the things it destroys, the births from its ashes, the unpredictability and safety of it. Fire is so many things, and that is the scary beauty of it.

Listen along as I share my spoken word poetry and a little bit about the inspiration behind my poems with you. My work is often based on current events, as well as my childhood growing up in Ohio before, during and after the Great Recession. I will also read and digest poems that speak to me as we explore this age-old art that is recently and thankfully coming back in “Vogue.”
