Life is always a lot. There is a lot going on, there are a lot of people talking to you, communicating to you, asking for something from you. So much information is always coming in at us, and because of some hardware and software whose last update was a few millennia ago, our minds tend to default to keeping itself happy.

A genuine tone. Where does it come from? It comes from a place of understanding one another, it comes from a place of honesty and empathy. But we will never know how to be genuine until we can learn to effectively listen.
