We need to be listening to the Word often, but it’s not enough to just familiarize yourself with scripture. Who made you? What is my current problem? What is God’s solution?  How do I respond? We need to understand the context, history, relevance and purpose of the Bible. Casey Wilson gives a lot of resources and suggestions on effective methods of inductive study.
