I Know How it Feels..Now and Then! 

The truth is, the things I enjoyed then are not present now or present themselves as huge obstacles to overcome. Why does parenting seem so much harder today than in my generation growing up? In my era, Single Parenting, while commonplace, came with a resounding "support system" (at least in my situation/lens) that seemed far reaching and communal. Today, support in this way seems far reaching- a wish list even. 

Yet- as Single Parents, we must continue to show up and be present despite our challenges. We must do our diligence to provide the stage for the best environment we envision / want for our children, even if going the single route. So what does the doing our best look like and what will it take to set the stage you ask?
