A discussion about Arminianism, working through the 5 articles of Remonstrance, free will, foreknowledge, and other common questions.

Discussion Questions:

1.  What is Arminianism? What do you believe/Why do you label yourself as an Arminian?

2.   Like Calvinism has TULIP, it has five points as well. Can you explain those to us?

3.  Free will: Is God sovereign over the human will?

4.  Under the point “Conditional Election,” there is still mention of “foreknowledge.” How is that different from predestination?

5.  Resistable Grace—do you believe someone can run from God even if He is beckoning them?

6.  Fall from Grace—do you think someone can “lose” their salvation? If so, what are the stipulations for that?

7.  What is an Arminian interpretation of Romans 9?

8.  Do you think Arminianism takes God’s power away and places too much of it into humanity’s hands?

9.  What was the decisive cause of your faith? God or yourself?

10.  If man has free will for God to be fair, did Jesus have free will? Could he have sinned?
