Thank you to Dan Hancocks, Managing Director of CoCredo, for joining me on the Lets Talk Small Business podcast as we talked about the current business world, CoCredo and what the future looks like.
Dan is a driven, honest, fun, hard-working and focused professional with over 20 years’ experience in the Business Information Industry. As Managing Director and Owner of CoCredo, he is honoured to work with such a great team of people and lucky enough to do a job that he really enjoys doing. Since joining in 2003 and completing the MBO of Wyse Assist to CoCredo in 2009, CoCredo have moved offices twice due to growth, doubled their workforce, invested heavily in IT, Marketing and Customer Support, and streamlined Finance. In May 2015 Dan completed a further MBO becoming the sole owner of CoCredo and since then the company has had 4 years of rapid growth with 2018 being the best yet.... This is also highlighted in CoCredo's 99.4% customer retention rate and the way they have adapted as a business in recent years, with a clear strategic plan going forward.
Some of the proudest moments in Dan's working life have been most recently with CoCredo winning 'Credit Information Provider of the Year’ and 'Employer of the Year' at the CICM British Credit Awards 2019. The judges commented that the company was 'Head and shoulders above the competition. A business that truly listens to what its clients want. Innovation at its best'. In 2018, Dan was over-whelmed to be awarded with 'Business Leader of the Year' at the Bucks Business Awards and 'Technology Innovator Person the Year' at the Credit & Collections Awards. These awards are recognition for many years hard work by all the team, the great ethos the company has as a business to always go that extra inch and treat customers how they would want to be treated themselves, and the passion the company has to succeed on a daily basis.
Dan is a keen fundraiser and supporter of the Oxford Children’s Hospital (OCH) and help organise the OCH Charity Golf Day in June each year, raising over £175k in the last 8 years. This is very close to his heart after they helped save his sons' life in 2010.
