Talking Mental Health First Aid Training with Jude Price from Cognizant Mental Health Training in Hampshire.
Jude's profile on her Linked In page says:
There is no health without mental health. From learning to deal with stress, to understanding more complex mental health issues Cognizant courses can help you make a difference to mental health at work.
A business that embraces mental health and plays a positive role in helping your team to be their best selves will be rewarded with a workplace that is more engaged, translating to higher productivity.
Having worked in the mental health sector and experienced my own past mental health issues, it’s fair to say I’m well versed in the subject. Those past issues caused all sorts of problems with my professional life. A very steep, emotionally draining, time consuming learning curve, but I am now all the stronger for it.
Now as a qualified Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) trainer my passion for normalising conversations about mental health at work is highlighted in the delivery of the MHFA courses - yes, it’s ok to have that conversation however awkward or uncomfortable!
The more we talk about it the more we realise we are are not alone with our mental health issues, that many others have been there too. So now knowing its OK to talk about mental health the next steps are:
* Be more aware of your own mental health
* Help someone else who may be struggling with mental health issues
* Build a Resilient and Mentally Strong Workforce
