This week I met with Christoph Koch. Chris is a lecturer is QUT who teaches an advanced understanding of CAD. Chris also focused on understanding the role of an industrial designer in the coming world through his PHD.

In the podcast, we discuss the past nature of ID and how our role could evolve to meet the evolving needs of the industry. We also discuss how sustainability can often be a struggle to comprehend let alone to design for, but as designers, we are most suited to tackle the problem head-on. Further, we highlight the effect of additive manufacturing on manufacturing as a whole, predicting how the field could evolve in the coming years.
