In 2015 Jamaar Wilson created “Truth Iz,” a creative entertainment platform for People Living with HIV (PLWH) and for people affected by HIV to connect and express and share their stories using their voice, music, art, dance, and other forms of creative expression. Jamaar has many years of Classical Vocal Training, Musical production, event planning, and public speaking. With these gifts, he has begun to create a space, opportunity, and dialogue around sexual health, sexual responsibility, and accountability for self and partners. HIV advocacy, Community service, education, prevention, and fighting HIV stigma hold a special place in Jamaar’s heart. He has made a vow to share his experiences and gifts with the community with the hope of changing the narrative, conversations, and perceptions surrounding HIV/AIDS and building Healthy Relationships.
