“Consumer Protection and Private Lease Models in the Mobility Sector”
In this first episode of Law Out Loud, PhD Researcher Josje de Vogel and Assistant Professor Johan Vannerom discuss the new, and sustainable, phenomenon of private lease models in the mobility sector. They examine the transition from a linear economy to a circular economy and whether this will bring about a disruption to the market which may impact the private law framework. For instance, are private lease contracts sale or services contracts? And how should they be regulated so that consumer protections are not circumvented?
