This episode introduces venture-backed tech entrepreneur Maddy Sukoru who built Groupshop. We discuss his journey from AT&T Technician to creating a group buying platform for merchants that caught the attention of 3 venture capital firms that invested in him because he is tenacious and incredibly resourceful. We talk about tech startups, how he is "unemployable" and how lawyers have played a role in his growth. For the past several years, primarily due to a long-time friend Dee Murthy, I have and continue to surround myself with people I respect and admire (and mostly non-attorneys). Maddy is one of those people--I also used this as an opportunity to pick Maddy's brain about my own startup LawFlip.
