An annual tradition dating back to the mid-70's when a group of 100 local leaders came to Albany to fight for pension reform, the NYS United Teachers Committee of 100 lobbying day was this week. Today, members from every region of the state convene to meet with legislators about education issues. The main takeaway? Red or blue don't matter when it comes to the public good, public servants, our children and their future. And we're still talking about pension reform in 2023. Another: this access would not happen without the union.
