You can't have it all: A friend of mine asked why I would spend more money on small businesses. His contention is that competition is good and ultimately the lower the price the better for the consumer. I'm not sure who is right but I disagree and am willing to pay a little more to support smaller businesses. That said, he wants to be paid more than his company can afford and imo if we use his mentality, only the top will get richer and everyone will suffer more... but what do I know... again, lol.
