Fr Columba discusses how and why we should use this Lent to make some important changes. He points to examples in the Bible, including Jesus’ own 40 days in the desert, as examples for why we should see these 40 days as a time for interior change. 

Father also addresses “why all the purple” — why is purple the colour of Lent, and not something a bit less regal? Because it’s a reminder that Jesus is King and, through our Baptism, we are called to be kings of ourselves — to have the mastery over ourselves to allow Christ to reign in us.
