We’re given a picture of a king being able to offer his life for the people’s salvation. Zedakiah doesn’t do it (Jesus does) & Jerusalem is captured while God cares for those loyal to Him amidst the destruction

Listening to one a day while reading the corresponding chapters would take you through the Bible in about a year.
