My story is the moment that I will never forget sitting at my desk in my home office. I was thinking about how lucky I was to have a roof over my head and I have great health as well as to have friends and family who loved me. How things always turned out good for me however at this time my life was not looking great. My car was overheating every time I drove it and I already spent almost all my money to fix it. I couldn't work without a car and on top of this five minutes before I just lost my wallet which had all my credit cards, IDs and all the money in it I had to my name was $15 cash in my desk drawer. It was going to take a week to get access to my last hundred dollars in my bank account.

How did I get myself into this position after a 29 year love-hate relationship selling ads in the back of the phone directories had all come to an end. Google had slowly and effectively killed my career that started in 1987. My dilemma resembled the story of Willy Loman the main character in Arthur Miller's 1940s play Death of a Salesman. Willie’s glory days as a shining star salesman in the play were clearly over. He struggled with change blaming everyone but himself. But change was the only way he would survive.

This story is so close to home and reminds me of my own… but wait, there’s a comeback story.
