It was another exciting weekend in the English Premier League, with last season's top three teams only picking up one point between them. Manchester City grabbed a point against Newcastle in a thrilling match in Northern England, while Liverpool and Chelsea struggled against Leeds and Manchester City.
Chelsea and Tottenham last weekend was an early candidate for the game of the season; however, Newcastle and Man City gave them a run for their money on Sunday afternoon. It was a six-goal contest at St James Park, with City comeback from a 3-1 deficit in the second half. On the show, Caroline and Liam talked about the style Newcastle played, De Bruyne showing up in a big way, and Kieran Trippier's free kick and red card.
They also dove into how Leeds United beat Chelsea 3-0 at Ellen Road. Leeds has started the season exceptionally well, while Chelsea has hit a couple of stumbling blocks.
Caroline and Liam also discussed Crystal Palace vs. Aston Villa and their two managers, Manchester United getting their first win of the season over big rivals Liverpool and then quickly went over to Germany to talk about the Bundesliga and Bayern Munich. You can hear all that and more on today's episode of Kicked Back.
