This week we unpacked the fascinatingly weird 2011 film The Beaver, directed by Jodie Foster. A movie with a deceptive trailer that pulled us in with a wild premise and promises of absurd humor. Is it a bizarre dark comedy, a tragic look at mental health, or just Mel Gibson talking to his hand in a weird accent? 

To help us cope with the heavy themes and puppet-induced existential dread, we cracked open another perfect pairing in No Beavers Were Harmed, a luxurious Vanilla Bean Nitro Stout from the folks at our local brewery Sawstone Brewing Co. With hints of vanilla and a creamy nitro finish it is perfect for the film's wild highs and emotional lows.
