In this comic-movie review, DQ reviews the steampunk gothic comic "Bitter Root" and the modern supernatural horror "The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia." In the comic "Bitter Root," the Sangerye Family is the only force that can save New York and the world from a sadistic supernatural army.
The comic Bitter Root allegorically portrays the cataclysmic war against ignorance, fear, and racism. On the other hand, "The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia" captures a supernatural consequence of ignoring the Other and historical trauma. In this modern supernatural horror, "The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia," a young family descend into a centuries-old Southern hell.
