On April 21, 2020, Katie Palmer, a middle school science teacher, and her husband, John Palmer, were struck by a vehicle while taking a walk together in their neighborhood. But the events that followed the already horrific tragedy, has left John Palmer fighting for justice in what he calls his wife’s murder, but local law enforcement refused to arrest the driver who struck Katie and John that day.
In our recent podcast episode, John Palmer details the day he lost his wife, Katie, and the events that followed. He explains to Jury File the uphill battle that his family has faced since losing Katie to what local law enforcement calls an “accident.”
Katie was very loved and respected in her community, and still is. Local residents of Denison, Texas, have rallied around Katie’s family to support their fight for justice, as well as supporters around the country.
With part two of this episode Jury File will release a full timeline of events leading up to the current information regarding the fight for justice and how Katie’s family plans to use to legal system to keep fighting.
