Listener Questions (Tweet Us or Email Hello@OKBeast.com):

Bryan Lords writes in “what’s you updated fav character? I started getting into octane which I didn’t think would happen. What sort of striking distance to you try to maintain?  being a less skilled player I have to play a bit up close and tight and hope to get the drop on people. I have to avoid distance/g7/charge rifle gameplay. “”

Bobby Muldoon asks, “Season 3’s meta, to me, was largely based on sniping. I really loved this because I am not that great in close combat, but was able to drastically increase my average damage and kills by focusing on ranged combat. I believe they’ll aim to change up the meta in season 4, so what are your expectations?”

Isaac C asks, “I’m hyped for the new rotating game modes. What if apex legends tried a 2v2 gunfight ltm. I’ve been playing MW a bit and that is thee most fun game mode I’ve ever played. Could you imagine a 2v2 gunfight at the firing range (or training ground) with the different characters and their abilities?!? Everyone starts with the same gun and health or just fists?!?!?

You may have to make the abilities charge a little faster so the characters would have a chance to use them. (Otherwise everyone would just use wraith and pathfinder, oh wait everyone does that anyway!) I know this will never happen but it’s fun to think about the possibilities.

Oh and did they nerf the r-301???Because I haven’t been able to hit shit with it. It sprays like the r-99 now.”

Cody Dewar asks, “What’s up guys, I love the show, what would you guys think about the legends being classes? (Example: you can choose mirage and then completely build and customize the character to your liking, such as fallouts customization) with certain body frames for each character so the hitboxes remain the same.

Joshua Whetzel asks, “Hello Ok Beast. I want to give a counterpoint to the sbmm subject that was brought up in the last podcast. You guys talked about how it is probably the best experience to play in ranked right now in Apex Legends because you play against people of similar skill level. This I think is the main reason people want a change to sbmm. Right now high level players are playing ranked games and playing in sweaty predator lobbies and then want a break from that grind. They then que up for play apex and are in matches with the exact same players. Do you think that the way sbmm is set up right now needs to be changed? Many high level players feel that ranked and play apex are the same exact game modes but one is for a ranked status.

Thank you guys for making the podcast I look forward to it when I see it. Thank you for your time I just wanted to give one of the main arguments I hear against sbmm that I didn’t feel you guys covered.”
