Lyft is
offering free rides to job interviews.
We break down this great community service and public relations move by
Lyft within the context of the government attacks on the gig economy. We also
discuss how the gig economy empowers workers by giving them more income
streams, more control over their schedule and a better work-life balance.  We also discuss the recent news on Twitter
and the banning of paid political ads.
Finally, we touch on the upcoming announcement by the Padres to
introduce their new manager, Jayce Tingler, and how that synchronizes with
their rollout of a new branding and uniform plan.

We share
thoughts on so many other people and issues including San Diego State Aztecs,
Stephen Strasburg, Kawhi Leonard, UC San Diego, UCSD, Tritons, NBA, MLB, World
Series, Washington Nationals, Houston Astros, Viejas Arena, AJ Preller, Uber,
DoorDash, Gavin Newsom, Sacramento, minimum wage, Jobs Access Program, United
Way, National Down Syndrome Society, freelance, journalists, Dave Ramsey, light
rail, mass transit, autonomous vehicles, SANDAG, Zuckerberg, Alexandria
Ocasio-Cortez, AOC, Poway, Seattle Mariners, Tampa Rays, Milwaukee Brewers,
