In 1977 Mike Randerson became a dealer for Howe Racing Enterprises race cars. That dealership was ultimately the impetus for RanderCar Racing.

Randerson formed relationships during that time period with drivers like Pete Parker from Kaukauna, Wisconsin and began to spread his wings to Michigan's Upper Peninsula with champions Kent Pearson and Bob Iverson.
