From the early 1980s to 2007, Maggie Dubris worked as an EMT out of the Hell's Kitchen hospital, St. Clare's. Her new book, "Brokedown Palace" chronicles those years in a very personal, and present, honest way. She talks about some of the stories from those years, including the impact of AIDS on communities throughout NYC, and, of course, 9-11. During the interview, Maggie reads a few of her poems from the book.
