What's Required To Scale Beyond $1M That Your Business Coach Isn't Telling You
Before you sign up to work with the next business coach that promises to “to help you scale to 7-figures” you need to first ask yourself if your business is actually set up to scale? Are your offers ready to scale? The way that your business is set up operationally, will it allow you to leverage your offers, later on, to take on more clients?  If you are at the $200k, $300k, or the half a million mark, then that means you know how to articulate your value, you know what problem your audience has and their objections, and you know how to sell to get bodies in the door.  However, if you want to surpass $1M, you must ensure your systems operationally behind the scenes are set up to get you there.  These systems need to be in place BEFORE you throw additional marketing at your scalability problem.  If your offer is almost entirely dependent on you showing up, then I hate to break it to you, but NO, this is NOT a scalable business model. In this episode, I talk you through the process of how to get real with yourself, so you can ask yourself the honest question of “which offer is the one that will get me beyond $1M?”  Will your current offer be the one to get you there, or not? This is a question that must be answered. It’s only after you are able to be real with yourself, that clarity can reveal itself to you, in order to have the right steps you need to move forward.  The mistake most 6-figure going on 7-figure entrepreneurs make is that they hire a marketing agency to help them scale before they are actually ready. Then they get swamped with more leads than they know what to do with; suddenly they’re overwhelmed, burn out, and end up quitting the game altogether.  I don’t want that to happen to you.  That’s why in this episode I am sharing all the millionaire secrets to scaling that most business coaches don’t want you to know.  Listen if you are ready to scale your business beyond $1M, and want to save years of mistakes, headaches, and hundreds of thousands of dollars. This one’s for you!    Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: Marketing will break your business faster than anything else if your offer isn’t actually scaleable, to begin with. If the offer itself, is not set up to scale from the backend-- then adding more marketing could put you in a position of heightened overwhelm instead. When you are a selling high-ticket program, ads may buy you leads, but ads won’t convert by themselves. Manual touchpoints, with human interaction, are still required to close the sale.   Be careful about what is marketed to you --you need to be savvy enough to know what you actually need and when your business needs it.  Explaining the major difference between monthly recurring revenue and huge 1-hit-wonder launches. Are you more focused on $100k launches or are you more interested in having 100k months? And lots more! Tune in now.  This episode is brought to you by LEVERAGE: Today’s episode is brought to you by my group coaching program LEVERAGE.  LEVERAGE™ is a comprehensive, high-performance coaching program for expert service providers who are ready to reclaim their time and sustainably surpass 6-figures in the next 12 months. How To Avoid Manipulative Sales Tactics On Your Sales Calls
Have you ever been afraid of doing sales calls, for fear of coming off as sleazy or manipulative? I know, many of us have been there, especially Christian businesswomen. We want to make sure we aren’t feeling like we are manipulating people into buying our offers.  The good news is sales doesn't have to be sleazy! This ONE major mindset shift I share today, will help make sure you’re staying in alignment with your values and integrity as you conduct sales calls. I promise it will forever change the game on how you do sales calls! Want to know what it is? Here’s my secret. When I get on sales calls, I put myself in a mindset of service. I train my team members to do the same. I believe this one shift will be a total gamechanger for you, allowing you to say bye-bye nerves and hello to showing up with confidence leading your sales conversations.   When you get on a sales conversation, your mindset should be “how can I best serve them? How can I help them figure out what their next best step should be?”  Contrary to popular belief, when you are being of service to someone, that does not equate to giving everything away for free.  When your goal is serving, you come from the perspective of helping them make the best decision for themselves. It’s not about you at all. It’s all about them. What is best for them? If you do this, then the sales conversation is no longer about whether they work with you or not, rather it’s about enrolling them in a decision one way or the other (yes or no).   So how do you get good at sales?  The only way to do that is to participate in a constant shedding process of your own ego and entitlement. Sales is all about understanding the psychology of your buyer, how they make buying decisions, then honing your ability to articulate the value you deliver.  Remember sales is actually not about your branding, building a website, or how big your audience is.  When I started my business, I initially was able to grow without any branding or a  fancy website--all because I’ve always been good at sales. I leveraged the skills I learned upselling people into larger bowls of Coldstone ice cream, talking to customers at Chrysler about the benefits of vehicles they were going to buy, and selling my skillset into higher positions when I was in corporate America. If you learn how to sell, it will aid you in anything and everything you want to do.  Make the invitation for someone to work with you. Guide the client to make the decision, which is the next best step for them; not just what’s best for your ego. This is how you will master sales. Tune in to today’s episode to hear me go more in-depth to this revolutionary approach.    Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: Sales is a contact sport--the more contact you make, the more sales you will have. In the online world, contact happens through live video.  Conversions happen through conversation. You need to talk to strangers! Have conversations with people, have intimate human interaction.   Transformation happens after the transaction. You can not facilitate the highest level of transformation you can unless a transaction happens first.   It is your responsibility to create opportunities for the transaction to take place, and for you to make the invitation. How to recognize your transferable skills and leverage them to communicate your value. And lots more! Tune in now.  This episode is brought to you by Raise Your Rates: If you are amazing at delivering results for your clients, but not sure if you're qualified to raise your rates, then this training is for you! Join me, as I walk you through 10 questions to help you know once and for all how much money you should be charging for your service. Have your clients been adding on extra tasks outside your contract, but you haven't raised your rates yet to reflect these extra deliverables? Or perhaps you are an expert, but don't feel like you're getting paid market rate for your services? If this is you, then it's time to raise your rates. I'll help you think through whether you have positioned yourself as enough of an expert to charge high-ticket, by narrowing your niche. We’ll talk through the steps I use to help clients narrow their niche, so you can position your service and get paid based on the value you truly deliver. Should You Keep Doing Sales Calls For Your High Ticket Coaching Program?
Hear me out: most of us aren’t mature enough yet in our business to be closing $15k clients, with no point of human contact. I’m not saying to scrap sales calls completely, all I’m saying is delegate them instead.   There are 3 main ways to enroll someone in your high-ticket group coaching program: sales pages, sales calls, and Direct Message.    For the Tony Robbins of the world, they might be able to sell a $15k program off a sales page without any direct conversations, that might work-- but I don’t have that kind of clout. And you probably don’t either. Until then, YES, you STILL NEED sales calls and DMs in your business, in order to maintain that human touchpoint.    For high ticket programs, the average sales page only converts 1% - 2% of prospects. If you don’t believe me, run your numbers.    However, the conversion rate for DM sales is about 10%-15% and for sales calls it’s even higher, sitting at about 60%-70% conversion rate. That’s a pretty big gap, right? Shocker I know!    I love doing sales calls because of their high conversion rate. Many people have gotten rid of sales calls in an attempt to automate their business.    I mean, if you have a large audience and your business can afford to close less than 2%, then by all means, keep tweaking your long-form sales page and spending oodles of money hiring copywriters, investing in launch plans, and paying FB to run your ads. Otherwise, expand your perspective to consider a different approach.   In today’s episode, I’m going to walk you through my approach to closing 98% of clients via DMs using the Messenger Money™ Method.   If you are making $250-500k a year and are still primarily responsible for all the sales in your company, then there are two options: 1) either delegate everything else, so you have time to do sales OR 2) you need to delegate your sales so you can focus on growing and doing everything else.   TBH, this was really hard for me to do. At first, I thought all I needed to do to get capacity back was stop working with 1:1 clients privately. So I shifted my 1:1 services into a group container.    Once I repackaged my 1:1 offer into a leveraged, high-ticket group coaching program, my monthly recurring revenue grew exponentially. Only then did I realize that I was STILL spending too much time in the sales department.   When you make $20-30k months, you’ll again hit another capacity limit. At some point, you’ve got to do more than just automate your sales. You’ve got to DELEGATE them!   You can't be responsible for ALL the lead nurturing, the lead sourcing, AND the lead conversion. It’s TOO MUCH. (Caveat) - if you want to grow a 7-figure business. As you grow, your capacity must evolve as well.    If you’re tired of paying Mark Zuckerberg all your money to get your funnel up and running, then this episode is for you! We talk about where you might be the bottleneck in your company and not even realize it and how to shift what you are responsible for in your business. So, is it time for you to delegate your sales calls? Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: Explaining the methods I used to learn how to:  Improve my lead qualification (niche down even more) & qualify prospects via DM Infuse sales psychology into my marketing, so my sales calls weren’t doing all the heavy lifting in the process  The 3 most effective ways to enroll a prospect into your high-ticket program are: sales pages, sales calls, Direct Message conversations How I leverage free organic content and DM conversations to close 98% of my clients, and how you can too!  Knowing when it’s time to stop being the bottleneck in your company and delegate your sales calls to a team member after you document your processes  And lots more! Get Your Clients To Hold Themselves Accountable In Your Group Coaching Program
If you are on the fence about whether you should join a higher-end group coaching program that is $6k-20k, or whether you should just hire a 1-1 coach for $2-10k, then this is for you. You should know up front that there’s a different way you must hold yourself accountable in a group coaching program, over private 1:1 coaching.    There is a major difference between the level of support you get from a DIY course and a group coaching program. When you really think about it, courses tend to only teach you information, where the creator leaves it up to you to implement the strategies. However, a high-ticket group coaching program has support built into the offer itself, where the creator invests time coaching you, helping you with the implementation of strategies that are being taught, and providing a space for you to get support both from your peers and the coach themselves.    Yet, clients are often most hesitant about joining a group coaching program because they want 1:1 support, and are fearful they won’t get that in a group container.    Let me be clear: most group coaching programs have 1:1 support. The caveat is it’s ’s just NOT PRIVATE, but it’s still personalized 1:1 direct support.   This is an important distinction to make. The clarifying question you need to ask yourself is: What do I really need to get results? Am I just wanting to ensure I  receive 1:1 attention, answering specific questions as they come up?    If the answer is yes, then a group coaching program may be exactly what you are looking for because you still get personalized answers and the benefit of other people doing it with you at the same time. It’s a 2-for-1.    For example, anytime a concern or question is brought up a group coaching call, the client IS getting specific 1:1 support. It just isn’t private.    Most of us have never understood group programs through this lens, that 1:1 support is included, just not behind closed doors.    If you are nervous about showing up with vulnerability in a group container, I get that. But I think this is something as a business owner, you must work on. If you ever desire to lead a team or work with high-level clients of your own, you must first learn how to ask clear questions and diagnose the real problem that needs to be solved. What’s really causing you to feel that hesitation of being vulnerable if you are in a group container where other people are experiencing the exact same problems?   Before you make the investment, this is a conscious decision you must make. You must evaluate - do I actually need private 1-1 support? OR am I just looking for a container that will give me personalized and customized feedback, when I ask for it, and in a timely manner?   If you just want to make sure your questions are answered, with direct feedback on the questions you have, then a group container will be amazing for you!    The benefit of a group coaching program is that when you ask questions about a specific situation, you not only get the main coach’s response, but you also benefit from the experience and wisdom from your peers, who’ve worked through the exact problems you have questions about. Since they are on the same journey you are on, they can offer perspectives that are directly applicable. It’s a win-win.    There are several ways to hold yourself accountable in a group coaching program. This includes but is not limited to: asking your own questions, sharing a win and how you did it, sharing a lesson learned (read--failure) and how you bounced back, or through answering other people’s questions by providing your perspective. Or for example, my best clients are fully present on our group coaching calls --they come with their camera on, their notebook out, and are there ready to contribute or to absorb and learn as much as possible. These are all active ways to show up, be involved, be fully present and get the most out of your group coaching investment.    If you want to learn how to get the most value out of your group coaching program, while still ensuring you get the level of support you need, then this episode is for you.  Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: There is a big difference in the way you must conduct yourself and hold yourself accountable in a group container vs. private 1:1 coaching A course is usually DIY experience --meaning a self-study curriculum that teaches you the information, without a heavy amount of individualized attention, coaching support, or in-depth community to help you with implementation  In group coaching programs, 1:1 support is ALWAYS provided, it’s just not private support. Any time you ask a question, you are getting 1:1 support to answer that question, it’s just not private. Vulnerability is required as a business owner, in order for you to grow in a group container  Your coach can only hold you accountable to the level that you hold yourself accountable. You must hold yourself accountable, in order for your coach to help you get the full results they promised. It’s not your coach’s job to do all the heavy lifting for you.  Holding yourself accountable can be you offering a perspective or sharing a mistake and how you fixed it. It doesn’t mean you always have to have all the answers. Managing Client Expectations In Your Group Coaching Program
This episode talks about how to create firm boundaries when you transition from serving 1:1  clients to a group coaching program. Clarifying your boundaries is key in having successful relationships with clients, especially in group settings.  You must re-educate your clients about what 1:1 support looks like in a group coaching environment. I help you get clear on the promise you are delivering, how to set boundaries around the level of access to you that clients have, and the importance of educating your clients on how a group container works and benefits them.  There are 3 things you need to do, in order to align your group coaching program with your ideal client.  Define your audience. You must understand what their past experiences with group coaching programs are, and then know how those experiences are informing their beliefs about what a group coaching program entails.  Know the type of learning environment your audience excels in. Recognize your own coaching style, so you can set clear expectations from the start. Proactively acknowledge where the gaps may be in your process.  Misalignment of expectations often occurs because people are misinformed about how much access they get to you as the creator during the program, the number of touchpoints they will have, and the curriculum itself. You, as the creator, as the business coach must get clear on the gaps you actually want to address and teach. If you need help aligning your clients’ expectations, with how your group program will actually run, then this episode is for you!  Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: The need to re-educate your clients about what they can expect from you when you are doing a group program, instead of doing 1:1 Determine where your boundaries need to be. What are you promising vs. what is overdelivering? Where do the hard boundaries need to exist?  Transitioning from codependency to a co-working relationship with your clients where you help them do it for themselves  Debunking the myth that group coaching programs don’t have any 1:1 support The 3 things you need to do manage client expectations effectively Understanding whether you coach more from masculine energy or feminine energy. Does your client need more therapeutic, encouraging support at this time, or do they need more analytical and strategic? Most coaches will default to one or the other.
