Welcome! And thank you for listening. One of the biggest barriers to lasting change is that every dietary pattern asks us to give something up. Whether it is processed carbohydrates, sweets, or other comfort foods, we have to replace the pleasure they once provided with something that better aligns with our long-term goals. Understanding your "why" is essential to creating lasting change. For me, that means improving insulin resistance, lowering inflammation, and helping people regain metabolic flexibility so their bodies can efficiently use stored fat for energy. In this episode, I discuss how dopamine influences cravings, why insulin resistance makes weight loss so difficult for many people, and why constantly eating and snacking can keep us trapped in a cycle of elevated glucose and insulin. I also share why I believe nutrition should always be individualized and why education, community, and support are critical for creating lasting change. If you would like to join us.
