Carrie Mortrud's life changed forever when her husband died unexpectedly from a heart attack. She went from being happily married with a 9-year-old daughter, to being a widow and single mom trying to find her "new normal".
That tragic day has brought a lot of pain, sadness, anger, and grief into Carrie and her daughter's lives. However, Carrie has shown strength and resilience in her pain. Through opening up on social media, Carrie was able to connect with several women who also became widows at a young age and started a group that allows these women to connect and support one another.
Carrie is an incredible woman with great strength and resilience. We all can learn something from her story.
