This weeks episode is all about resilience and continuing to realize the big picture and how everything comes together.

This was an amazing episode with Kyle Alentado. A Captains Career Course peer and someone whose feedback I value greatly, it was an honor to have him on the podcast.

This was yet another journey that was totally different from all aspects, from going OCS after being in the civilian work force, being in the army wanting to get out, to getting a job where he thought maybe I can find another route in the army, to finally getting that dreaded 0200 hour email saying you are being put on orders to deploy.

Some key take aways from this episode:

You can never be too prepared for what life is going to throw at you. Whether its missions that don't allow you to try and get out, injuries that put you in a job that inspires your drive for the military, or a 0200 deployment heads up email, always keep your head on a swivel.

Whether you are staying in or getting out be sure to always network over begin in competition. That person who may be freeloading, could also be a huge ticket into the civilian world one day.

Always fight for your career, at the end of the day whether military or civilian nobody cares about you like you do!

As you are getting out fight for work life balance. Getting out is hard and puts a huge toll on you mentally and physically. Fight for time off, at this point who cares about your last OER!

Thanks again Kyle for coming on, I'm looking forward to the next one!
