When Donald Trump took the oath office to protect the U.S. Constitution and the American people, he was saddled with the same no-win situation in Syria Barack Obama struggled with. Having to choose between hawkish elements in the GOP seeking an escalation of efforts at any cost and the non-interventionist who just wanted to GTFO of Dodge, Donald Trump was left faced with a problem even his much smarter predecessor couldn't solve.
