Artificial intelligence and deep learning have many research applications. In this episode Ray Ptucha, assistant professor of computer engineering in RIT’s College of Engineering, talks with computing doctoral student Robert Jimerson from the College of Computing and Information Sciences about a National Science Foundation project that their team is pursuing. It uses deep learning systems to develop a speech-recognition system to help preserve the Native American Seneca language.
